6 Wooden Crates and 9 Barrels

Wooden crate and barrel terrain set pieces give a store, camp or loading area signs of practical use. The pack contains fifteen individual objects: six cubic wooden crates and nine traditional barrels. Cross-braced reinforcement marks the crates, while the barrels have curved bodies and represented metal hoops around their staves.

The separate pieces can be arranged as supplies, a disturbed store or a load associated with transport. A group placed near a building suggests a different story from the same items scattered along a route. Their role can be an objective to recover, a place to search or background detail that explains the activity of the settlement.

Think about the miniature positions and routes around the load when organising an encounter. Avoid filling an important approach simply because the pieces are small; leave the areas players use reachable. Any movement, cover or sightline effects should follow your chosen game’s rules rather than being assumed from the objects alone.

The set is supplied unpainted, ready to prime and paint. Different timber tones can distinguish crates from barrels, while darker washes define boards and staves. Picking out the hoops separately will clarify the barrel construction. Shared dust and wear can unite the fifteen pieces as goods stored in the same place, with individual colour variations suggesting that the load has accumulated over time.
