Medieval trebuchet terrain gives a siege scene a clear piece of equipment around which to build an encounter. The model represents a trebuchet, or counterweight siege engine, and can sit near an attacking camp or become the objective of a raid. Its documented dimensions are 66 × 88 × 65 mm.

Decide why the engine matters before arranging the battlefield. One side might be protecting it, another might need to prevent its use, or a campaign could follow its progress towards a fortified destination. The same scenic reference can therefore support different moments in a siege story without requiring a change to the rest of your settlement.

Consider the open area around the machine as part of that story. Access for miniatures, routes from the camp and the relationship to nearby terrain will shape the encounter. Establish any rules for the engine and its surroundings with the other players; a scenic model does not supply automatic damage, range or movement characteristics.

The default option is 28 mm, with 10, 15, 20, 32 and 35 mm also available. Supplied unpainted, ready to prime and paint, the trebuchet can adopt colours that connect it with your siege force or camp. Shading and edge highlights will define the model’s forms, while a weathered finish can suggest equipment that has travelled through several stages of the campaign.
