Open walls, deteriorated timber and broken roofing reveal rooms that once formed part of a complete medieval property. Surviving sections of the upper structure keep the building recognisable within the ruin.

The contrast between standing architecture and missing areas gives the shop a different appearance from a simple abandoned house. It can represent a commercial street affected by battle or a district that has been left to decay. Positioning a more intact building nearby makes that difference in condition part of the town’s visual story.
