Gallows Square · Shadowfey

Shadowfey gallows square terrain gives a fantasy settlement a location with a particular place in its history. The Gallow Square reference belongs to Shadowfey Wilds Ruins and can turn an otherwise open square into the destination of an encounter. Its narrative role can be established through the people and events of your campaign.

You might use the site for a gathering, a fictional rescue mission or an investigation into an abandoned part of the town. The same square can feel different depending on what the characters know when they arrive. Nearby buildings, roads and other scenery from your collection can explain how the location once belonged to the settlement.

Think about the approaches to the square before arranging the surrounding terrain. Players need to understand the routes as well as reach the miniatures involved. Decide the objectives and resolve access, cover and sightlines according to your chosen system. A static diorama can instead focus on a single moment within the setting’s story.

The default choice is 28 mm, with 10, 15, 20, 32 and 35 mm also offered. Supplied unpainted, ready to prime and paint, the model lets you control the atmosphere of the finished square. Colours related to the surrounding ruins can make it part of the same place, while differences in weathering can suggest which parts have been neglected longest.
