War Zone blast craters terrain represents two impacts through differently sized pieces of broken ground. Irregular rocky rims surround concave interiors, with textured surfaces suggesting the disturbance left by an explosion rather than a smooth circular depression.
The size difference gives the pair a more varied appearance when deployed together. You can place them near one another to suggest a concentrated bombardment or separate them across a wider area so the damage connects different parts of the table. Their low ground forms also contrast with the vertical shapes of buildings and defensive structures nearby.
A scenario might associate the impacts with artillery, a larger bombardment or an older event that changed the landscape. The models supply the visual evidence, while your story determines its cause. Agree whether the craters affect movement or provide any shelter under your chosen rules, using the actual shapes and miniature positions to guide the decision.
The two pieces arrive unpainted, ready to prime and paint. Darker centres and lighter fractured rims can emphasise the concave forms. Ground colours related to the rest of your battlefield will integrate the impacts, while dust or contrasting exposed earth can make the damage stand out. Varying the finish slightly between the two craters can suggest different conditions without losing their shared identity as impact terrain.
