Two single storey Gothic ruins represent the damaged remains of buildings with a cathedral-like or administrative character. Pointed arches, substantial buttresses, decorative columns and broken window frames establish the grimdark style. The irregular tops of the walls suggest structural collapse, while cracks and impact-like detail break up the stone surfaces.
Each ruin is an independent piece. They can stand apart within a district or be positioned in relation to one another to suggest a longer former building. Their single-storey form keeps the architectural remains lower than a multi-level ruin, allowing larger structures elsewhere on the table to retain their own place in the skyline.
The set suits layouts using 28 mm and 32 mm miniatures. Consider how the openings face nearby routes and which parts of the scene the encounter uses. The game’s rules determine any cover and sightline effects rather than the Gothic appearance guaranteeing a particular amount of protection.
The pair arrives unpainted, ready to prime and paint. A wash can define damaged window surrounds and cracks, with drybrushing along the broken wall tops bringing out their irregular shape. Using related stone colours across both models will connect them as part of the same district, while subtle differences in weathering can distinguish the histories of the two former buildings.
