Rotating coil gun terrain for science-fiction planetary-defence installations and artillery positions. An armoured circular base supports a large-calibre barrel, creating a distinctive objective or defensive landmark for sieges, military bases and futuristic conflict zones.
The upper turret turns around its axis to represent tracking or aiming in different directions. The barrel is posed at a pronounced elevation, suggesting long-range or anti-aircraft artillery. Panels, rivets, reinforcements and power conduits decorate the base. Sculpted mechanisms and barrel coils evoke an electromagnetic acceleration system. This is a model terrain piece; its effects during play follow your chosen game’s rules.
FDM-printed in PLA+, the coil gun complements other science-fiction terrain. Place it in a landing zone, industrial complex or space-dungeon setting. Combine it with other structures to develop a defended installation, or let it stand as a mission objective on an open battlefield. Its mechanical silhouette can also anchor a themed diorama.
Supplied in neutral grey, unpainted and ready to prime and paint. A thin undercoat is recommended before acrylic colours. Washes and drybrushing reveal panel lines, raised details and barrel mechanisms. Use a coordinated finish to match nearby terrain or add weathering to suggest a worn defensive emplacement.
