Nesting urban building terrain expands a science-fiction setting with the Nesting Urban Buildings reference. The set can establish part of a settlement or provide the context for missions that take place among structures. A search, a reconnaissance route or an encounter within a colony can each give the district a different purpose.
Begin with the journey through the area rather than treating the buildings as isolated objects. Decide which location the characters need to reach and what nearby terrain explains the route. The wider arrangement can suggest an inhabited part of the colony, a quiet edge or a place whose activity has changed during the campaign.
Keep the areas used by miniatures reachable and leave deliberate space between the structures. Your chosen system determines cover, access and sightlines, while the scenario establishes why the route matters. Reorganising the buildings between sessions can represent another part of the same settlement without changing its overall science-fiction theme.
The model is supplied unpainted, ready to prime and paint. Scale options include 10, 15, 20, 28, 32 and 35 mm, with 28 mm as the default. A consistent palette can identify the buildings as part of one district, while variations in shading and wear give individual locations character. The finished group can then remain coherent without every structure needing to look equally maintained.
