Fantasy catapult terrain adds a recognisable siege engine to a camp or battlefield. The model has a timber frame, a raised arm and a base with handcrafted-looking details. The photographs show the complete painted piece, allowing you to examine the represented mechanism and its overall shape before planning a scene.

A catapult beside a camp suggests preparations under way; near a defensive position, it can tell another part of the battle’s story. It might also be an abandoned machine that characters discover or a specific objective they have been sent to reach. These are narrative possibilities for the scenery rather than promises of a working mechanical model or a prescribed set of game rules.

Miniatures, dice and additional presentation terrain are not included. Place the catapult where players can reach the surrounding areas involved in your encounter, and agree its role in movement, cover or the scenario objectives under the system you use. Its significance can change between visits during a longer campaign.

The model is supplied unpainted, ready to prime and paint, in 10, 15, 20, 28, 32 or 35 mm; 28 mm is the default. Timber shades, dark joints and lighter exposed edges can separate the frame from the base. A finish related to nearby camp scenery will help the engine feel prepared by the same people who occupy the site.
