Defense Planet Complex terrain combines an industrial setting with defensive and storage details. Platforms, stairs, railings and barriers establish the main structure, accompanied by supply crates, barrels, a defence tower and supporting elements. The collection can represent a military installation or an industrial colony whose working areas also need protection.
The set uses structures of 61 mm and 122 mm, introducing two distinct heights into the layout. You can organise the components as a connected facility or place groups around separate objectives. The defence tower provides one obvious landmark, while the storage details offer smaller locations around which an encounter can develop.
Think about how those objectives relate rather than spreading the pieces without a plan. A route between supplies and the tower can tell a different story from a compact central strongpoint. The design follows the Sector Mechanicus-style industrial theme and can accompany other SM Complex scenery. Presentation miniatures are excluded, and all movement, visibility and defensive effects depend on your chosen game.
The pieces arrive unpainted, ready to prime and paint. A shared palette can unite the raised structures while distinguishing the crates and barrels as stored goods. Highlighting platform borders and tower details will help the important shapes remain readable, with weathering used to establish whether this is an active base or a contested facility.
