Shadowfey graveyard hill terrain introduces a funerary location into a fantasy landscape. The Graveyard Hills reference belongs to Shadowfey Wilds and can mark the destination of an investigation, a meeting after dark or an area that characters must cross during their adventure. It can also provide the setting of a narrative diorama.
Decide how the burial place relates to the nearby settlement or route. A familiar site within inhabited territory has a different meaning from one found during an expedition. Roads, buildings and other terrain from your collection can establish that relationship, giving the encounter a place within the campaign’s wider geography.
Use the scenario to determine what the characters need to reach and what they know about the location. Leave the relevant miniature areas accessible, then establish movement, cover and sightlines under the rules you choose. The funerary theme supplies atmosphere rather than a fixed supernatural effect or automatic game outcome.
The default scale is 28 mm, with 10, 15, 20, 32 and 35 mm offered as alternatives. Supplied unpainted, ready to prime and paint, the model leaves its final character to your palette. Colours connected with the surrounding ground can root the site in the landscape, while deeper shadows and selective signs of age can suggest a place that has outlasted those who once tended it.
