Junkfort wasteland bastion terrain gives the edge of a community a fortified theme. These Wasteworld references can represent the positions that survivors rely on to protect their resources, or a disputed boundary whose control matters to the next stage of a campaign. Their role can develop from the story of the settlement itself.
A defence mission, a siege or a confrontation at the limits of inhabited territory can each use the bastions differently. Decide what lies behind the positions and why the approach matters. Placing the scenery in relation to roads, buildings and stores from your own collection can make that purpose clear on the table.
Leave the areas involved in the encounter open enough for players to reach their miniatures. The defensive theme suggests a story, but any actual protection, height advantage or restriction on movement should be established through your chosen rules. A campaign can revisit the same boundary as its inhabitants and their relationships with nearby groups change.
Select 10, 15, 20, 28, 32 or 35 mm to suit your collection, with 28 mm as the default. The bastions arrive unpainted, ready to prime and paint. A shared finish with nearby Junkfort structures will make the fortification feel part of the same settlement, while wear and shadow can reinforce the impression of positions that have seen repeated use.
