Overlord 1944 ruined Normandy building 2 terrain preserves a large rural residence after destruction has opened the centre of its roof. Exposed timber beams and rubble interrupt the pitched outline, while a side chimney remains standing above the damage.
Two storeys retain windows and shutters in different conditions, with some elements damaged or missing. Impact marks and broken carpentry connect the façade with the collapsed roofing. The result keeps the former house identifiable while giving it a very different appearance from the intact Normandy building reference.
The interior is hollow and accessible, with an internal staircase connecting the floors. Place the ruin along a damaged village street or beside surviving properties to explain its condition within a historical scenario. Decide which openings and positions miniatures can use and apply the rules of your chosen system to cover, movement and visibility. Practical access to the interior matters when arranging nearby terrain.
The piece comes unpainted, ready to prime and paint. A shared palette across the standing walls and roof debris can make the destruction coherent. Darker shading beneath exposed beams emphasises the missing roof centre, while broken shutter edges can receive small highlights. Dust, staining and weathered masonry in your finish can suggest the age of the damage without obscuring the architectural details that still define the house.
